FIS Alpine World Ski Championships - Week twoBy Alessandro Trovati, Thursday February 23, 2017
The second week of the FIS World Ski Championships is dedicated to the technical disciplines and giant slalom taking place in two rounds.
We were very lucky with the weather. There was always sunshine and blue skies and the wonderful Engadine snow-capped mountains as a side dish.
In the men's event, Austrian Champion Marcel Hirscher was the strongest of all time. Hirscher had the headlines by winning both the giant slalom.
In the women's giant it was won by France's Tessa Worley and the slalom by United States' Mikaela Shiffrin.
Having the ability to have two rounds and always trying to capture more than one action image makes for more excitement, with the environment allowing for different angles.
