Canon Image Gateway is a useful resource for all EOS digital camera users. In particular, you can download new Picture Style modes, and you can create online photo albums. These albums can be for your own personal use only, or you can share them with or without password access. For example, you can create the album of images, then e-mail the URL (page address) to a client, together with the password. Only the people who receive the details will be able access the page and the pictures.
To register for the Canon Image Gateway you need to insert the Canon Digital Solutions Disk that came with the camera, click the CIG link on the disk, and then provide various information, including the model and serial number. Registration is free.
It is very easy to create personal photo albums using Canon Image Gateway. You don’t need your own website – Canon supplies you with 100MB of free space which you can access via any web browser.
