Canon has announced the availability of its Professional Service (CPS) team at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. At the world’s most watched sporting event Canon will be providing support and assistance to any accredited photographer including non-Canon users.
The service team will be present at all 64 matches during the World Cup to provide the following services:
- Technical support to accredited professional Canon users enabling them to make the best use of their equipment’s potential
- A free clean and check service to ensure their equipment delivers the best possible results
- Urgent repairs depending on availability of parts, tools and time
- A back-up loan service, in case equipment cannot be repaired onsite
Accredited photographers can find the CPS team in the photographers area of the media centre at each of the 10 football stadiums used for the World Cup. The Canon depot will be open to photographers four hours before the start of each match (six hours for the opening game) and will close approximately one hour after the end of the match.
