Apple takes Aperture 2 on a World Tour

Apple is taking Aperture 2 on a World Tour with a number of free, in-depth seminars being held for photographers at venues around Europe during October 2008 where you can learn about the capabilities of this photo editing and management software.

The European legs of the Aperture 2 World Tour will be at the Odeon, Manchester on 7 October and then at the Grand Cevahir Hotel, Istanbul on 8 October; the Axa Auditorium, Barcelona on 9 October; the Marriott Hotel, Milan on 14 October; the Cineplexx Wienerberg, Vienna on 16 October; Cinexmaxx, Hamburg on 21 October; the Hilton Hotel, Amsterdam on 23 October; and the Gloria venue, Helsinki on 28 October.

At each event Apple’s photography experts will demonstrate the capabilities of the photo editing and management software of Aperture 2, which has an expanded suite of more than 100 features, including a new, easier interface and enhanced image processing. Apple will demonstrate a number of key Aperture 2 features including a new all-in-one Inspector, Viewer Only mode, Quick Preview mode, and Project skimming in All Projects view.

The free seminars will also cover the expanded suite of adjustment tools as well as explaining how Aperture 2 integrates with the rest of the Mac platform by showing you how you can instantly publish photos to a MobileMe Gallery; design and order beautiful custom books; use third-party plug-ins to export photos to service bureaus, photo-sharing sites, and commercial sites; access your Aperture library from within iLife, iWork, and Leopard Mail; and sync photos to iPhone, iPod, and Apple TV.

Canon is Apple's key partner for this tour and at each event you will get to ‘touch and try’ the latest Canon products and solutions, including the new EOS 5D Mark II DSLR, and speak to the local Canon teams present about Canon photography products and technology. Nik Software is also an Aperture 2 World Tour partner so photographers can find out about that company’s range of new Aperture 2 Plug-ins at the events.

Almost all of these European Aperture 2 World Tour events have a 9.30am registration time for a 10am start, but please check timings for the event at the city nearest to you by clicking here.
