Canon backs Europe’s major Fashion Weeks
The autumn fashion season starts again this month and Canon will be out in force at the London, Paris and Milan shows as sponsor of the major events that start with London Fashion Week from 14 to 19 September 2008.
Canon, principal sponsors of London Fashion Week for the third year running, will once again be providing Canon Professional Services (CPS) support from 15 to 19 September. Services available at the event will include free sensor cleaning, minor camera repairs, an equipment loan facility (subject to availability) including the new Canon EF200mm f/2L IS USM lens, as well as Canon technical staff being on hand to answer any technical queries you may have.
There will be a Best Fashion Shot photo competition with the winning entry receiving a Canon PowerShot G9 digital camera. In London Canon will be in the photographers lounge inside the British Fashion Council Tent at the Natural History Museum, Cromwell Road, London.
Photographer Ian Gillett commented: “I’ve been taking photographs at London Fashion Week for over 10 years and I’m currently using the EOS-1Ds Mark III and 1D Mark III. Canon’s support centre at London Fashion Week is an invaluable resource for all the professional photographers at the shows who benefit from excellent on-the-ground facilities to ensure quick turnaround for the best images.”
Canon Europe is principal sponsor of Milan Fashion Week, which runs from 20 to 27 September 2008, showing the Spring/Summer 2009 collections and also sponsors Paris Fashion Week, which runs from Saturday 27 September to Sunday 5 October with the ‘Ready to wear’ Spring/Summer 2009 collections on show. As part of the participation in the London, Paris and Milan Fashion Weeks Canon will play host to guest speakers, have live show feeds and show the latest professional photography products in ‘touch and try’ CPS areas.
