CPN will be delivering full coverage of the 20th Visa pour l’Image International festival of photojournalism live from Perpignan, France, in a series of exclusive blogs, news reports, exhibition coverage, videos, and interviews with many of the world’s best photojournalists.

The event runs from 30 August to 14 September 2008 and CPN will also be covering Canon’s presence at the event as its main sponsor, including the prize giving for the Canon AFJ Award for female photojournalists and the CPS services at Visa pour l’Image. Each day CPN will be posting behind the scenes images of all that’s going on at the world famous photojournalism event.

The two headlining exhibitions at Visa pour l’Image 2008 are ‘This is War’ which features the work of former Life magazine photographer David Douglas Duncan and a major Horst Faas retrospective ‘Horst Faas, 50 years of Photojournalism’ that covers the career of the legendary former Keystone Picture Agency and Associated Press photographer.

To celebrate the 20th Visa pour l’Image festival, which began in 1989, another key part of the programme is a series of special features put together in association with leading magazines and the world’s leading photojournalists. These include Nina Berman (Redux Pictures) shooting for The Sunday Times Magazine and Stanley Greene (Noor) for the Russian Reporter Magazine.
