Volker Lensch to judge Editor’s Choice

Stern magazine’s photo editor, Volker Lensch, is the new guest editor for CPN’s unique opportunity for photographers - Editor’s Choice. This regular CPN feature offers you the chance to have your photographs seen and edited by some of the world’s top photo editors.

Volker Lensch was born in Germany and graduated from high school in 1981. He began his career as a freelance photojournalist for local newspapers before, in 1985, becoming an assistant in the photo department of Bild newspaper. The following year he began running the photo department for the Hamburg edition of Bild.

By 1987 he was deputy photo editor for the weekly magazine Bildwoche and he moved to work for the mass-market German weekly news magazine Stern in 1992. In 1994 he was promoted to become deputy photo editor of Stern and took up his current position as photo editor of Stern in 1996.

For Editor’s Choice you can upload your Canon photographs for viewing by the world’s top photo editors. If they make the final shortlist selection after the rigorous editing process your photos will be showcased on the CPN website. Every two months a new guest photo editor is named and a new selection of photographs can be submitted.

Those select few whose work is chosen via Editor’s Choice to feature on the CPN site will then have a global showcase for their work to be seen by a wide audience including all the major figures in the photographic industry. You will be able to submit images for review by Volker Lensch from 1 September 2009 onwards.
