Canon has cemented its relationship with Getty Images, the world’s leading creator and distributor of still imagery, footage and multi-media products, through its headline sponsorship of the Getty Images Gallery, London, from 2008 to 2010.

Canon kicks-off its sponsorship with the Peacocks & Pinstripes men’s fashion exhibition, which will run from June 6-28, 2008, and be followed by a number of major photography exhibitions at the Gallery.

“Day in, day out, Getty Images’ photographers use Canon cameras to capture the powerful images that are seen in newspapers, magazines and websites across the globe; and for many years innovative Canon technologies have complemented such forward-thinking imagery,” said Kazuyuki Suzuki, Head of Canon Professional Services. “Canon is delighted to take this opportunity to help the Getty Images Gallery celebrate the power of the photographic image.”

Getty Images Gallery is London’s largest independent photographic gallery and was founded in 1996. The Gallery showcases exhibitions on a regular basis: its imagery, the majority of which is taken from Getty Images’ Hulton Archive, is available to buy as fine art prints in a variety of sizes and framing options.

Louise Garczewska, Director, Getty Images Gallery, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Canon as the headline sponsor of the Gallery. Canon’s professionalism, commitment and dedication to imagery makes them an ideal partner and we look forward to working with them to continue showcasing further iconic exhibitions.”
