Tim Harris from Nature Picture Library/Bluegreen Pictures has selected his favourite nature and wildlife images from the impressive photographs that were submitted to Editor's Choice 2 in November by CPN readers from around the world.

In a multimedia presentation he chooses 40 pictures from the thousands submitted, and talks in detail about his 10 favourite images.

Harris said that there was huge range of technical quality, but at the top end there were a number of very strong images. "All of the 10 top images that I selected are ones that are commercially saleable and have content that would be applicable for sale through a stock agency." He goes on to talk about the types of images that interest Nature Picture Library, some of the recent trends and opportunities in nature and wildlife photography, and how photographers should approach agencies such as NPL.

Editor's Choice links photographers with the world's best photo editors. It allows CPN readers to have their work seen at the highest level and gives editors the chance to see new talent from around the world. Editor's Choice 2 follows the success of the first edition of Editor's Choice last year, in which more than 11,000 images were entered. Photographers using Canon cameras are able to upload their images for review by a leading picture editor. A different genre of photography is covered each month. For July, the category was sports photography; in August it was photojournalism; and in September it was travel, landscape and architecture. This month it's portrait photography, and Marcel Saba from Redux Pictures is on hand to review your images - you can upload your pictures until 5 January 2011.

Tim Harris and CPN would like to thank all of the photographers who submitted their images to the 'Nature and wildlife' edition of Editor's Choice 2.
