August 2008

The shortlists of nominations for the prestigious Visa d’Or news and features awards have been revealed after all the photojournalism reports (published and unpublished) seen over the past year were judged by a panel comprised of some of the world’s best picture editors.

The nominations in both of the Visa d’Or categories will be assessed by a second jury panel during the upcoming Visa pour l’Image international festival of photojournalism in Perpignan, France (30 August to 14 September) and the winning entries will then be announced at two separate award ceremonies that will be held during the two-week event.
