The M30 and M80 are portable media storage viewers to keep your images safe while you’re away from home and your main computer. They allow you to download the contents of your memory card to their hard disk so you can keep shooting and view the images you’ve taken.
Who is it for?
If you ever spend more than a day or two away from you main computer and therefore can’t download your images at the end of shoot, these media storage viewers provide a great way to store images. Equally, if you’re off on holiday and want some way to see your images while your away, and re-use your memory cards but not lose the images, the M30 or M80 viewers are the perfect accessories.

The Media Storage M30 and M80 viewers complete the cycle from capture to computer with Canon components and provide a useful temporary storage solution for photographers in the field. For all travel photographers these units can prove to be invaluable. With 30GB (M30) or 80GB (M80) of storage space there is enough space for images for most photographers, even on a long trip. The use of the BP-series batteries, the same as in the EOS 40D and EOS 5D, makes this unit very versatile.
The 3.7-inch LCD screen makes reviewing images a breeze and allows you to check fine detail and focus on your images, even when shooting RAW files. If you are travelling the viewer can be used to relieve the boredom of a long flight – upload your favourite film in MPEG4 format or some enjoyable MP3 music tracks and relax through the flight with the unit acting as a film and music player.
Compatible with both CompactFlash (CF) and Secure Digital (SD) cards, these units will find use with photographers shooting with any Canon digital camera.

The M30 and M80 are a convenient way of transporting images around to show family and friends. The slideshow function allows you to select a folder and let the unit cycle through images creating a slideshow for your viewers. - EXIF data
EXIF data is very useful when analysing images and what you did. The M30 and M80 allow you to view detailed EXIF data, including shooting date and time, quickly and simply. - Audio/Video out
The M30 and M80 units can be plugged into a television so you can show your work on a bigger screen to larger audiences. Combined with a PictBridge connection that lets you direct print from the viewer to a PictBridge compatible printer, you can output images easily too.
