TC-80N3 Cable Remote Control – cabled remote triggering of your EOS camera
The TC-80N3 is the most advanced remote control available for any EOS camera. For remote photography it acts not only as a remote trigger to help avoid camera shake, but it can also be used to time accurately exposures from 1 second to 99 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds.
Who is it for?
All photographers looking to eliminate camera shake from their images will benefit from a cabled remote control. But the TC-80N3 goes much further than this but adding a multitude of functions for many various types of photography.
- 80cm cable
- Long exposures
- Interval timer
With much more than just timer functions the TC-80N3 can be used as an interval timer for time-lapse photography, a self-timer, and a counter to set the number of images captured (up to 99).
The real strength of the TC-80N3 unit is that these modes can be combined – for example, the interval timer with the self-timer and exposure counter for time-lapse photography of flowers opening.
This remote release is very versatile. It is often used by photographers shooting after dark, where long exposures are essential, as well as by those who employ macro and time-lapse photography. When you don’t use some of the extra timer features, it can also be used simply as a remote release to fire the camera without touching the shutter button.
By combining several functions of the TC-80N3 you can achieve quite advanced results. For example, combining the interval timer with a long exposure timer, self timer and exposure count, the camera can be set to take a pre-determined number of long exposure images, at preset time intervals al after having set a self-timer delay to ensure it starts at a set time.
The table below shows the possible combinations of the TC-80N3's functions and their effects and uses.
