EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM

One of the most popular zoom lenses in the Canon lens range, the EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM will find a use within almost every genre of photography. From wildlife, to sports, portraits, landscapes, photojournalism and advertising photography, this lens can do it all.

The addition of the image stabiliser makes the lens perfect for use in low-light situations such as indoor sports events. It provides up to three stops of image stabilisation to make sure your pictures are sharp even at slower than normal shutter speeds.

Fourelements help ensure aberrations are minimised effectively for high image quality. As with all lenses in the L-series, this lens produces results with both high resolution and high contrast.

A ring-type USM autofocus motor ensures fast, quite and accurate autofocus, and the large maximum aperture means that even using an EF 1.4x II or EF 2xII extender (for a 98-280mm f/4 or 140-400mm f/5.6 lens), autofocus will still function no matter which EOS camera you use.

Four ultra-low dispersion (UD) lens elements produce sharp, high contrast images with barely any hint of aberrations. Because this lens is seen as a workhorse lens by many photographers, it is designed to withstand the punishing life it is likely to lead by incorporating dust and moisture seals to keep the elements at bay. These measures are especially effective when used with an EOS-1series camera.
