A picture of an Ethiopian girl taken by Stefano Pensotti from Italy with an EOS 5D has been chosen by National Geographic Traveler’s Paul Römer as his favourite image from those uploaded to the ‘Perspective’ category of Editor’s Choice 3 in December 2011. The Public’s choice, made from Römer’s 30-image shortlist, was a photo by Joey Clay from the USA.

In a special multimedia presentation Paul Römer talks in detail about the entries, including his five favourite images. It also showcases all of his 30-image shortlist. Römer described Pensotti’s picture as “a wonderful image” with “perfect composition”.

Editor’s Choice, now in its third edition, links CPN readers to the world's best photo editors, and each month allows Canon users to upload their images to be judged and commented on. Editor's Choice 3 features a different conceptual/technical category each month, and includes a brief and advice from a world-renowned professional photographer, as well as links to relevant CPN articles.

Keep visiting the CPN website regularly for all of the Editor's Choice 3 updates — news of latest category announcements, Guest Editors, Briefs and Professional Advice. You have until 31 January 2012 to enter your pictures to the ‘Lightness’ category, which is being judged by the current Guest Editor, Rebecca McClelland, Photography Director at UK political magazine the New Statesman.
