Finally the day has arrived! The day when I can speak freely about the new Canon camera which I tested some weeks ago: the EOS-1D X Mark II.

Imagine a kid who is thrown magically into his favourite place, with tons of candy and all the possible freedom, but with just one little rule: he can't tell anyone. Well I was that kid with the new EOS-1D X Mark II in my hands.

Some might think that I am crazy, but professionals in the field will understand me, since we are talking about a camera born as an evolution of the original EOS-1D X, with added improvements.

One of these is the introduction of flicker detection; a system that allows the photographer working in bad light conditions. This feature is essential, for example, for those who shoot in buildings with fluorescent lighting; I have tried to shoot 25/30 frames for a single sequence and the classic effect ‘black shot - white shot’ doesn't appear. With sequences, I have done some 30/40 frames in RAW and the camera has not slowed down. On the contrary, I have worked as if I was shooting only in jpeg.

Moreover I shot at 14 fps during a tennis event and it was very quiet. This is a fundamental characteristic for photographers who follow sports such as golf and tennis or events where silence is necessary.

I experimented with ISO, taking pictures at ISO 6400. Even though I opened them on my computer at 300%, there was no broken pixel effect, so even in this aspect the camera is very good.

What else could I add? The new camera is fantastic and I look forward to buying it!
