Stuck in the Sound is a band, formed in Paris in 2002. The four members of the group shared a love of the band Nirvana and its lead singer Kurt Cobain. The name 'Stuck in the Sound' came from the fact that when the band first started they locked themselves in a cellar and made music, so they were literally stuck in the sound...

The group are presently signed to Discograph Records and to date have released four studio albums; their début 'Stuck in the Sound' was self-released in 2004, and their first commercially released album 'Nevermind the Living Dead' was released in 2006. 'Shoegazing Kids' came out in 2009 and their most recent album, 'Pursuit', was released in early 2012.

I was a big fan of their song 'Stuck' from the incredible single 'Toyboy', released in 2008. It was added to the video game 'Guitar Hero World Tour' and when I met the band's lead singer, José Reis Fontao, in 2013, I asked him if I could take his portrait.

We kept in touch for a few months, and when he saw my work for 'The Black Strobe', a french indie electro-boogie band fronted by Arnaud Rebotini (http://blog.quentincaffier.com/2012/11/people-arnaud-rebotini-blackstrobe.html), he mentioned me to the rest of the band.

Finally, in January 2014, we worked together and one of the images has been used as a cover for a French magazine called Louis.

It is worth mentioning that for these images no post-production was needed: I only mixed flash and continous light with filters on my lenses.
