Aria Crescendo first rose to fame in France when she was a yoga teacher in the popular reality TV show Star Academy, a French show which made the careers of participants such as Nolwenn Leroy, Elodie Frégé and Dominique Fidanza. Aria appeared in the show for at least three seasons and has also written books about yoga. During that time she also worked as a dancer at the Crazy Horse cabaret where she met Jimmy Iovine, with whom she brainstormed the Paradiso Girls project.

Together with Jimmy Iovine, will.i.am (who would produce their album), and Robin Antin (who would become their choreographer), they auditioned over 500 girls to form the band. They started out as a quartet with Lauren Bennett, Shar Mae Amor and Kelly Beckett. Aria Crescendo was then featured on a remix of "I Got It From My Mama" which was the girls' first public work as a group. They were later joined by Chelsea Korka and started recording songs for their album with Crescendo as one of the three lead vocalists. They released their first single of the album called "Patron Tequila" featuring Eve (entertainer) and 'lil' Jon. She then promoted their upcoming album, named Crazy Horse, in honour of the cabaret in Paris where it all started and toured in the USA over the summer of 2009, taking part in the Party Rock Tour with LMFAO, Shwayze and the Far East movement in November and December of that same year. She is also featured on a remix of Shwayze's "Get U Home" and in Valeria Andrews' song "Girl I Told Ya".

In September 2014, she came back to Paris to work on her first solo album, after having been signed by Warner Music. As I had already shot Zula (another Crazy Horse dancer who since became a singer in the band Nouvelle Vague), she contacted me for a shoot which was to appear in the French magazine 'Eclectic Society'.

I always love mixing flash with continuous light, as it gives a surrealistic aspect which seemed to be perfectly suitable for Aria's universe, so I put in some tungsten lightning with my Broncolor flashes. The styling, chosen by Anna Barr, was a mix of pop culture, haute couture and yoga clothes.
