David Campbell is involved in both the production and analysis of visual storytelling. His writing focuses on photography, multimedia and politics and examines how documentary photography and photojournalism work, plus the opportunities multimedia brings. He works both as a multimedia producer, collaborating with photographers, and as a documentarian. He is also an advisor, curator and editor for photographers undertaking documentary projects. David has written or edited six books and some 50 articles and essays. He holds a number of academic posts including Honorary Professor in the School of Political Science and International Studies at the University of Queensland, Australia. His blog was named one of the 10 best photo blogs by the British Journal of Photography (July 2011).
