The Multiframe technique has always fascinated me ever since Canon developed on its newer cameras.

It's a technique that must be managed very well to obtain an image that makes sense. Firstly, you must choose a discipline that is better suited to the multiframe; the best sports are ones that have a regular and continuous movement from right to left or from top to bottom without changing direction.

Also to achieve a perfect performance you need to choose a uniform background with no change of light. It doesn't matter if the background itself is dark or light.

Regarding the photographic technique, I prefer to shoot with high shutter speeds to 'freeze' the movement and have as much of an engraved image as possible.

The number of shots should be selected according to the length of the athlete's movement. For example, in the image of track cycling I used nine frames to try to fill the track as much as possible, helped by the fact that the race had the pursuit team with four bicycles: four x nine = 45 frames.
