Jonathan Torgovnik graduated with a BFA degree in Photography and Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts, New York. His photographs have been published by The New York Times Magazine, Newsweek, GQ, GEO, The Sunday Times Magazine (London), Stern, Paris Match, and CNN amongst others. He is the author of two books: 'Bollywood Dreams; An Exploration of the Motion Picture Industry, and its Culture in India' and 'Intended Consequences: Rwandan Children Born of Rape'. His award-winning photographs have featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions in the US and Europe. Jonathan won the 2012 Prix Découverte d'Arles discovery award at the recent Rencontres d'Arles festival. His multimedia film 'Intended Consequences' won a Webby Award and an Emmy nomination. He co-founded Foundation Rwanda, an NGO that supports secondary school education for children born of rape during the Rwandan genocide.
